Formerly head of design at Nigel Cabourn, the London based designer Kestin Hare founded his namesake brand in 2015 upon relocating to his hometown of Edinburgh. Kestin’s Scottish heritage is key to his designs, and the brand is continuously striving to redefine modern Scottish design by ‘blending innovation with tradition’. The result is simple, but nonetheless unique functional wear that is made to last. Kestin’s designs have often been influenced by the beauty of the Scottish landscape and key mainstays in the brand’s collections (the Skye overshirt and the Crieff windbreaker) pay homage to this.
The Kestin AW21 Collection 'Colourcraft' is inspired by the artist Bernat Klein who 'treated colour as a language and something that could express human emotions in different ways to words.' The collection takes natural landscapes from Scotland as a key inspiration for the colours and textures used in the clothing. Key pieces from the range include the Pathhead Puffer Coat in an earthy forest green and the Kestin Drygrange Smock Jacket toned in an eyecatching ochre yellow.
